Tom King is misteriously an incumbant.. I'm not complaining
I was scoping out Wikipedia recently, and noticed this article for Tom King had him identified as an incumbent. While this is not necessarily true yet, I do think it sends a strong message to our supporters and friends in the area and across the country: Tom can win this riding. The Conservatives, Liberals, and Greens are all saying that it can't be done which is in fact I think a fearful message, meanwhile Tom's visibility and organization has far surpassed the other candidates.
What's critical is for everyone to see Guelph as a key battleground in the country. Typically a place where the Greens have been strong, a Liberal stronghold and a riding the Conservatives will try to put another MP in place and secure the region for their party. If the NDP can win Guelph, we can win most anywhere in Ontario, and it looks llke the momentum is in our favour (and I'm not simply saying that because of the Wikipedia article).
Tom will be Guelph's National Voice, and he I think will send a strong message not only to the Harper government and their Liberal backbenchers, but an inspiring message to the country that the NDP is a party on the move.
It's a proud and exciting time to be a New Democrat, I will see you in the campaign office!

He's not the only one...
He's not the only one... looks like Guelph has FOUR incumbents running! The same error shows on all the candidate's pages, someone modified a sub-page that all four pages were pointing to that listed the other candidates, which made all four pages say that they were incumbents.
Including my candidate... which is not yours. ;-)

I wish that changing the composition of Parliament were as easy as editing a Wiki. We'd be awash in a sea of NDP orange. Oh well, I guess it'll just be that much sweeter to earn it the old fashioned way.

Any seats for the NDP are a victory for social conscience and qualitative, collective values! Any loss of seats for the Conservatives or Liberals is an indication that our nation, our jobs, and quality of life, are not for sale to the forces of neo-liberal corporatism.
